How does ASSA ABLOY view mobile access?

Credential technology is continuously evolving to ensure the highest level of security. As such, it’s important to build your access control infrastructure with flexibility and future proofing in mind. This means access control locks and readers that can support not only the credentials you have today, but those you plan to use in the future and those that you may not even be aware of yet. To provide this flexibility, ASSA ABLOY offers a wide range of integrated locks that can support multiple credential technologies at once, allowing for a seamless transition from lower security credentials to higher security card formats and mobile credentials.

How does ASSA ABLOY support mobile access in their access control locks?

ASSA ABLOY offers support for:

HID Mobile Access®
  • HID Mobile Access, which leverages Seos® as its underlying credential technology, offers these key benefits:
    • User Convenience: Users are no longer required to carry a card to access facilities and can now use their go-to mobile device instead. Thanks to highly intuitive “Tap” and “Twist and Go” gestures, employees can gain more convenient and efficient access.
    • Operational Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness: Using HID Global’s highly stable online management portal, administrators can create, manage, issue and revoke credentials through the cloud. With the option for subscription billing, customers enjoy a more predictable cost as user licenses can be added or removed. This enables organizations to efficiently scale up or down in response to their business needs.
    • Higher Security: HID Mobile Access is delivered through a highly secure and reliable cloud platform that is backed with a service level agreement of at least 99.5% service availability, demonstrating HID Global’s commitment for uptime and connectivity. The solution is powered by Seos credential technology and follows best practices in data integrity to bind each mobile ID to the device and protect the data at rest and in motion.
  • LenelS2 BlueDiamond™
    • The BlueDiamond app is a component of the BlueDiamond ecosystem, which also includes BlueDiamond Bluetooth/RFID readers and BlueDiamond mobile credentials. All BlueDiamond ecosystem products are connected via cloud server. The ecosystem tightly integrates with the LenelS2 OnGuard® access control platform, allowing one-click issuance and management of mobile credentials.
  • Student ID in Apple Wallet (Transact, Atrium, CBORD)
    • College students can now add their student ID cards to Apple Wallet to get around campus using just iPhone and Apple Watch. This allows them to access the dorm, dining hall, gym, library and campus events using only their iPhone or Apple Watch, leaving their physical wallets behind.
